B.C. provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix will lay out new restrictions across the province at 3 p.m. local time Thursday in an attempt to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Premier John Horgan let the cat out of the bag on Wednesday when he announced the B.C. government plan to impose restrictions on non-essential travel at Thursday’s in-person briefing.
The policy shift comes as the province struggles to get a grip on the spread of COVID-19. There was another record high day of new COVID-19 cases in the province Wednesday, with 762 new cases of the virus and an additional ten deaths announced.
