Coronation Street ‘s Faye Windass hands herself in to the police for her attack on Adam Barlow in upcoming scenes, following the mistaken identity blunder.
She attacked Adam and left him for dead after she mistook him for Ray Crosby, who recently tried to rape her.
Faye is struggling to cope with the guilt, and so she tells Craig Tinker about the attempted rape, telling Craig she cheated on him and slept with Ray.
Craig is left reeling but supports Faye and helps her hand herself in at the police station.
In the police interview room, a terrified Faye explains how she attacked Adam thinking he was Ray.
Tim Metcalfe rails at Craig, accusing him of forcing Faye to hand herself in, in the hope he will be promoted.
At the bistro, Debbie is stunned as Ray is arrested on suspicion of attempted rape.
But later on, Alya and Faye see Ray leaving the bistro and are devastated to see he has been released.
In the hope of lending some weight to Faye’s case, Alya reports Ray to the police for luring her to a hotel bedroom with the intention of having sex.
Hoping to dig some dirt, Abi calls at Ray’s hotel. But when Ray arrives with Susan, the Chairperson in tow, Abi dives behind the bar.
As Ray and Susan discuss their crimes, Abi records the conversation on her phone.
An excited Abi confides in Faye how she’s got proof that Ray bribed the planning committee.
Abi shows Ray the footage on her phone and offers to bury it if in return he admits to the attempted rape of Faye, telling him he’s got an hour to make a decision before she goes public.
Ray meets up with Abi in the Rovers’ back yard and tells her he’s willing to confess to the assault on Faye so long as she deletes the video footage.
But Abi suddenly feels dizzy and collapses as Ray grabs her phone.
A furious Debbie barges into the bistro to confront Ray about the incriminating video Abi sent her, but is horrified to spy Abi sprawled on the floor.
As Debbie goes to call an ambulance, Ray swipes the phone from her hand and tells her she’s going to help him out of this mess.
Will Debbie let Abi die?
