Death in Paradise has officially confirmed that Kelvin Fletcher will appear in its eagerly anticipated tenth series.

A post on the show’s Twitter account featured a photo of the former Emmerdale actor and reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion in front of a sundrenched, lush-looking green backdrop.

Even though the snap made things pretty clear in itself, it made sure to reveal in the caption that Kelvin would indeed be “hotstepping it over to Saint Marie” when the new episodes roll around.

The tweet marks the first time the popular BBC show has addressed Fletcher’s involvement directly – the news of his casting was leaked by fellow guest star Jason Manford back in September.

The comedian shared a selfie of himself and the soap star on a flight together, adding in a reply to his post: “…it’s Kelvin fletcher and we’re off to Guadeloupe to film Death in Paradise.”

Jason has also shared a couple of behind-the-scenes photos featuring Kelvin on his Facebook page.

In addition, it’s been confirmed that London Kills‘ Laura Aikman will feature in Death in Paradise series 10, too.

Just a few days ago, the comedy-drama announced that fan-favourite Sara Martins, who used to play DS Camille Bordey, would feature in two episodes of the upcoming instalment.

The character will reportedly be drawn back to the idyllic island by an investigation involving her mother, Mayor Catherine Bordey, and the death of a friend.
