EastEnders ‘hit with over 100 complaints’ over Kush Kazemi’s tube station murder that has been branded ‘horrific’ by ‘distressed’ fans

Kush Kazemi’s ‘horrific’ tube station death on EastEnders has received 106 complaints.

Fans were left shocked after Monday’s episode, in which Kush (Davood Ghadami) was pushed onto a tube track and killed by Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) after he became obsessed with Kush’s girlfriend Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).

The moment unfolded when Kush and Whitney attempted to flee the country, however were stopped at the tube station by Gray, who committed the crime when Whitney left the platform to take Kush’s son Arthur to the bathroom.

The unsettling scene prompted more than 100 people to complain, according to The Mirror.

MailOnline has reached out to the BBC for comment.

Fans were quick to express their shock on Twitter, with one writing: ‘Kush being killed is actually the most horrific murder I’ve seen on the show.’

Another added: ‘After that Kush episode, trains are starting to make me lowkey anxious.’

Others were simply angered by the soap’s decision to kill off the much-loved character.

‘EastEnders that was ridiculous how Kush was pushed and the writers let him go.

‘A popular star, your loss,’ one viewer wrote one Twitter.

Another added: ‘Cannot believe Gray killed Kush. KMT [kissing my teeth] EastEnders have angered me with this storyline.’

A third social media user noted: ‘Why did EastEnders have to Kush so dirty killing him off like that?’

The murder of Shona’s on-screen boyfriend comes days after she was reportedly left terrified after a man she blocked on social media allegedly ‘bombarded with messages’.

The actress is thought to have agreed to appear on a TikTok livestream with the man to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.

According to The Sun, the soap star then ended up calling the police after she received a stream of messages and calls from Dan Dempsey, 34.

According to the publication, Dempsey said he ‘only wanted to know why she’d blocked me’ and had been arrested on suspicion of harassment last Friday.

He reportedly said: ‘I didn’t know she felt harassed – she didn’t tell me to stop messaging her.’

It’s understood that Dempsey, who is from Derby, has been bailed until May, with conditions banning him from going to the soap’s set or to Shona’s address.
