Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale‘s Al Chapman had a lucky escape during Wednesday’s (January 13) episode as he continues to conceal his cheating.
Al (Michael Wildman) has been leading a double life of late, dating both Priya (Fiona Wade) and Debbie (Charley Webb) behind their backs.
Last night it looked as if he was close to being rumbled when Marlon (Mark Charnock) caught Al spending time with Debbie in the village.
Tonight, Al and Debbie were playing heavily on Marlon’s mind. When Debbie came to the Woolpack he confronted her about what he saw.
While Debbie denied that they were an item, Marlon brought up an incident in September when Chas considered cheating on Paddy with Al.
Marlon said that, while Chas blamed herself, he believes Al was less innocent than he made out to be.
The revelation shocked Debbie, who immediately went to meet Al and asked him: “How many women are there?”
But Al denied everything, saying he and Chas did nothing more than talk and it was all just a joke that they both took too far.
Debbie then said the couple needed to come clean about their relationship, but Al managed to convince her otherwise and said that if people knew they’d just make up lies to break them up.
While keeping her relationship with Al secret, Debbie has also been dealing with her daughter Sarah’s troubles after she planted drugs on newcomer Ethan.
After apologising to Ethan tonight, Debbie and Sarah learnt he wasn’t going to be charged and he also hadn’t revealed to the police that the drugs were Sarah’s.
Debbie told Al what happened and he suggested Debbie should take Sarah to Scotland to give her a break to sort her life out.
But Debbie didn’t go along with Al’s idea for her to get away and said it was best for both her and Sarah to stay in the village. She then suggested that should go public with their relationship tomorrow.
Will Al be able to once again convince Debbie it’s best to keep their secret or is the truth about to come out?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
