Prince Harry will be ‘regretful and embarrassed’ after the Oprah interview which plunged the Royal Family into crisis, a royal expert has claimed.
Tensions have been high since Meghan Markle and Harry made a number of accusations against the royal family in their Oprah Winfrey interview.
Meghan said Kate Middleton made her cry in the lead up to the royal wedding while Harry said his brother was “trapped” in The Firm.
Kate and William were briefly re-united with Harry at Prince Philip’s funeral earlier this month, when he flew back to the UK to say goodbye to his grandfather who died aged 99.
He said: “I’ve heard Harry was feeling numb heading back to LA. You could see in his face at the funeral that he was torn. He didn’t think he’d have to face his family so soon – and when he did, he had mixed emotions.
“Coming home has reminded him of everything he’s sacrificed in recent years – and of the recent damage done.”
He went on to tell the publication that Harry, who he called ‘a hot-headed guy’, was ‘nostalgic for his old life’ while his wife Meghan planned for their future.
Speaking of the infamous Oprah interview he said: “Harry was clearly hurt and angry about Meghan’s experience with the royals – and used the interview to get it out. But after returning home, I’ve no doubt he’s been feeling embarrassed, regretful and awkward.”
He said that Harry will ‘regret that interview’ as well as his decision to quit the royal family.
