This year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get me Out of Here! looks different for many reasons and lots of changes have been made.

One of which includes a brand new secret mission featuring The Jester painting named Dave — he spoke to new campmates Ruthie Henshall and Russell Watson and tasked them with tricking their fellow celebrities.

If the pair were successful in their trickery, they could win all of the camp’s luxury items.

It started when Ruthie was in the courtyard washing clothes. The Jester portrait suddenly started speaking to her about her first task, which was to get Jordan to massage her bare foot.

The Jester was impressed she succeeded and congratulated Ruthie on completing the first secret task, which meant that she’d won the first four luxury items.

Some viewers have pointed out similarities between The Jester and Big Brother‘s Tree of Temptation. The rude tree from the beloved series would often whisper to certain housemates and get them to complete secret tasks.

The Jester ultimately asked Ruthie to get Russell involved with the challenge. In the next task, Russell and Ruthie had to convince their team to give Kiosk Cledwyn the wrong answer.

Beverley and Shane successfully completed the Castle Coin Challenge and found out that Kiosk Cledwyn had the option of ready salted crisps or custard creams, so they went for the custard creams.

When the camp was called to answer the question, Ruthie and Russell answered the phone together and pushed the celebrities into choosing the wrong answer.

When Beverley and Shane returned to camp empty-handed, the team were disappointed not to have custard creams but didn’t blame Ruthie or Russell.

For the third and final prank, Russell had to convince his fellow celebrities that he’d seen a ghost. He did this by going to his bed and screaming loudly. As all of the campmates rushed over to see if he was okay, Russell then said he saw a ghostly figure looking at him — most of the celebs were spooked (but Victoria was having none of it).

The Jester revealed that Russell and Ruthie had successfully completed the challenge and they told the campmates about their task and winning all of the luxury items.

Fans of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! have shared their fear of The Jester and are officially creeped out by it.

One Twitter user wrote “think the jester is going to be appearing in my nightmares #ImACeleb“.

“Ok but Dave the Jester is a tiny bit terrifying? I would’ve been out of there as soon as a disembodied voice started talking and its eyes moved #ImACeleb,” wrote another viewer.

Another fan of the show mentioned: “I always love the secret missions. The jester is creepy though. #ImACeleb”.
