The Strictly Come Dancing professional has been photographed on the set of a new Brit flick musical which is expected to hit the big screen at some point next year

Karen Hauer is known for her fancy footwork and dancing to the theme of movie week on Strictly Come Dancing – but now the star is set to feature in a real film.

The 39-year-old is swapping out the small screen for a role on the silver screen in a film called Tomorrow Morning which co-stars Dame Joan Collins and comedian Omid Djalili.

The film is directed by choreographer Nick Winston who has been updating fans of the progress of production on social media.

And taking to Instagram last week, he shared that Karen was taking part in the film as he uploaded a snap of the Strictly star surrounded by actors on the set of the film.

Other stars involved in the Brit flight include Holby City favourite Ramin Karimloo and I’m A Celebrity’s Fleur East.

While the cast is being led by Les Miserables star Samantha Barks.

The film, which is a musical, tells the story of a couple’s relationship spaced over a decade and is due for release next year.

Karen is among the professional dancers expected to return to the ballroom on Strictly later this year.

The series is to return for its nineteenth series – and after the successful 2020 series which aired amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In April, Oti Mabuse, who won last year’s series alongside comedian Bill Bailey, shared news that the nineteenth series on the show would be her last.

She told the Telegraph at the time: “I love to dance and also I love bringing joy to so many people. But I think that will be the last one.”
