Kevin Bridges is said to be ‘absolutely delighted’ as he and wife Kerry are expecting their first child together.
The happy news comes two years after the couple tied the knot in St Peter’s Church, Glasgow.
A spokesman said: “We can confirm Kevin and Kerry are expecting a child this year.”
A source close to the Scottish comedian told The Sun: “They are absolutely delighted and are both looking forward to parenthood.”
Kevin married cafe boss Kerry in a traditional white wedding in August 2019.
The funnyman is said to have stole the show at the reception by belting out the karaoke classic Jump Around by House of Pain in front of guests.
Generous Kevin and Kerry also used the bash to raise money for charity as they asked their friends and family to donate to Glasgow’s Beatson cancer centre instead of sending them gifts.
Kevin joked that the reason he met his eventual wife was down to his love of coffee beans.
Coffee lover Bridges was a regular of a posh coffee shop near his home in the west of Glasgow where Kerry is the manager.
They made their public debut as a couple in 2016 when Bridges took Kerry to celebrity chef Tom Kitchin’s restaurant in Edinburgh. Kitchin later tweeted a photo of the pair on Valentine’s Day.
Bridges had told his 1.2million Twitter followers, saying: “What a feed! Big Tom’s the man!”
Kitchin then posted a picture of the happy pair on social media and appeared to quote Bridges, writing: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I phoned up Tom Kitchin and got a table for two … Hilarious Kevin Bridges. What a pleasure to cook for you both.”
Speaking about Kerry in an interview Bridges said: “She’s a lovely person, brilliant and very supportive and she gets me.
“Tours can be very stressful and she’s always been there.”
