Jade Thirwall could have a sparkling TV career ahead of her if Little Mix confirm they are going their separate ways.
The 27-year-old singer has reportedly impressed bosses at the BBC and they would be prepared to offer a high profile selection of presenter roles.
Jade has caught the eye of many of Auntie Beeb’s top brass after her hosting duties on Little Mix’s talent show, The Search, as well as her turn on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
It has been reported that Little Mix could be splitting, nine years after they were formed on The X Factor in 2011.
Jesy Nelson has already announced that she will be taking an “extended break” from the band due to “medical reasons” and now the other three members are looking to their future as solo performers.
While Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards are thought to be looking to release solo material and are already in discussions with new management, Jade is keen on pursuing a TV career.
A source has told The Sun : “The Beeb see her as a young Davina McCall and are trying to come up with some concepts for her now.
“She shone on The Search and really stood out when she was a guest on RuPaul.”
BBC producers believe that Jade has “everything to make a great presenter.”
They have cited how she is just as easy reading an autocue as she is being off script and spontaneous. Her sense of humour has also played a big part in TV producers wanting her on board.
The band’s talent show, The Search, ended this month as they chose an act that would support them on tour next year.
Jade has also appeared as a guest judge on Drag Race in the past year and both roles have impressed those watching.
Leigh-Anne has already delved into the world of fashion, with the launch of her own bikini range.
Perrie, meanwhile, has developed a shoe range with Italian brand Superga, as the band look to find paths once they officially call it a day, for now.
