She recently warned her fans that plastic surgery won’t give them the confidence boost that they might be hoping for.

And Megan Barton Hanson opted for a laid-back look in figure-hugging leggings as she headed for lunch with friends in Essex on Saturday.

The former Love Island star, 26, cut a casual figure in the charcoal gym gear as she flashed her abs in a long sleeve zip-up top.

The blonde bombshell had her curves on full display in the lycra leggings as she walked from the car park to the restaurant.

She accessorised the monochrome ensemble with an eye-catching coral orange cross-body bag and a matching clementine manicure.

The blonde bombshell added a selection of glamorous gold jewellery to the comfy outfit, including a chic bangle and chunky watch.

She accentuated her features with a natural make-up look and sported a brush of bronzer and a sweep of mascara for the outing.

The reality star swept her blonde tresses up into a low pony tail as she strolled along the Essex high street.

And she kept things covid safe for the outing as she donned a protective black face mask while she walked.

The outing comes after Megan warned her fans that plastic surgery doesn’t help boost confidence levels.

Megan, who has openly spoken about her history with lip and facial fillers, urged her fans to think hard about whether they are having surgery for the right reasons.

The reality star also added that her various procedures hadn’t helped her to ‘love herself’.

Speaking to The Sun, Megan explained she first had her ears pinned back when she was 17 years old.

She’d undergone the surgery in the hope that it would boost her confidence and help her to overcome her insecurities but was left dissapointed.

In reality, the star said it led her to have more procedures, including lip fillers, rhinoplasty and a breast enlargement.

She said: ‘The surgery helped me diminish the obsessive nature of my insecurities, but while it made me feel happier when looking in the mirror, that’s just surface level.

‘It didn’t help me to love myself, that came from growing up and having a strong circle of empowered women around me.’

Megan went onto admit that late last year she decided to have her lip fillers dissolved and the clips in her ears removed.

And, since opting for a natural look, she has been able to embrace her appearance.

The reality star urged her fans to think long and hard about undergoing any surgical procedures, insisting it won’t be a quick fix for anyone struggling with insecurities.

She added: ‘Surgery is not something that can make you love yourself. You can’t please everyone, so it must be done for you and you only.’

Last year Megan herself revealed she’d given up having plastic surgery after having her lip fillers dissolved.

She told MailOnline: ‘To be honest, all I get these days is Botox – I haven’t had my lips done since a year before the villa.

‘Where I got it all done at a young age, it’s easily maintained, filler lasts longer, I just have preventative Botox here and there but other than that I don’t really get anything else done. I am really happy with the way I look.’

Megan believes former Islanders, who are now reversing the work they’ve had done, made rushed decisions after finding fame on the show – and now regret it.

In 2019, Megan also spoke of her plastic surgery during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, urging her young fans to seek therapy rather than opt for drastic cosmetic measures to improve their looks.

The Love Island star told hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard she thought getting ‘bigger boobs and a smaller nose’ at the age of 19 would make her feel more content, but she now realises true confidence comes from within.
