Lauren Goodger has said that she hasn’t heard from her estranged mother Cheryl since announcing her pregnancy.

Talking in a new candid interview, the ex-TOWIE star, 34, who is expecting her first child – a daughter – any week now with boyfriend Charles Drury, 23, said it is ‘a shame’ her mum has missed out.  

Lauren’s mother Cheryl ‘rejected’ her as a child and she lived with her father at just four-years-old, who started his ‘own life’.

The reality star, who has previously told how she has no contact with several members of her family, said that she is trying to ‘keep positive’ for her baby. 

Lauren told OK! magazine about her estranged mother: ‘No, I haven’t heard from her or seen her, but she’s probably got her own stuff going on. It’s a shame if she misses out, but I’ve got so much going on I need to keep positive and focused on my baby.’

The reality star added: ‘It doesn’t upset me, but it’s a shame she’s missed out on the pregnancy.’ 

Lauren said that her daughter will be her ‘best friend’ and that she will ‘never not want to be’ with her child.

Elsewhere during the interview, Lauren revealed that she is already thinking of having another baby and that she wants a little boy.

Although the star admitted that she wants to get her pre-pregnancy body ‘back’ and her ‘boobs sorted out’, saying she doesn’t see the point in this if she is planning on getting pregnant again.

Lauren said: ‘I also want a little boy now… I want to get my body back and my boobs sorted out and I could do that and get pregnant again, but there’s no point getting my body done and then get pregnant, is there?’

The reality star added that she is thinking about getting her ‘boobs sorted’ after welcoming her baby girl and that she wants her ‘implants out’.

Although Lauren said that she will be breastfeeding at the time so she doesn’t want to ‘mess around’ and will instead see what they look like after giving birth, joking ‘they might just be floppy at the minute because they’re full of milk’. 

The reality star also revealed that she is planning to get a ‘designer vagina’ after giving birth as her ‘big baby’ girl is due to be around 9lbs. 

Despite her plans, Lauren added that she has been ‘quite comfortable’ and ‘confident’ while pregnant despite her body undergoing several changes, saying that she is ’embracing’ her ‘really neat bump’ and that she now has ‘purpose in her life’.  

Talking about her birth, the reality star said that she has been given the ‘all clear’ for a home birth and that she is meeting with a doula and midwife next week to discuss setting up a birthing pool in her front room with candles and relaxing music.

Lauren admitted that although she is ‘scared’ she is starting to ‘relax’ more and get into the ‘right mindset’ for the birth.

Talking about her future with Charles, the reality star said they are ‘definitely’ getting married but are deciding whether to tie the knot and then have another baby or vice versa.  

Despite not hearing from her estranged mother, only recently Lauren revealed that she has reconnected with her dad since getting pregnant.   

The former TOWIE star has previously told how she has no contact with several members of her family, including her father Steve.

However Lauren revealed in March they are back in touch with her, following her announcement that she is expecting her first child.

Speaking to New! magazine at the time, she said: ‘Everybody [has reached out]. I can’t think of one person who hasn’t… My family have – even people I haven’t spoken to for years. My dad.

‘They’ve all been lovely and kept in touch and got me a card and a £100 voucher for the baby.’

Lauren admitted being back in contact with her family has made her feel ‘loved’.

She said: ‘It’s his first grandchild on my dad’s side and I’m the eldest. This is the first baby on their side in 18 years. We’ve got a group chat that my sister’s made and they can’t wait.’

Lauren admitted that the relationship with her step-mother has previously been ‘hard’, however they are now on better terms and she is keen to have her and Charles over for dinner. 

The reality star – who has been dating Charles since last September – thinks her family ‘respect’ the life choices she’s made of late.

Lauren admitted that she previously didn’t know where she stood, but she believes her pregnancy has altered their perception of her.

In December, Lauren admitted she wasn’t on good terms with her father and he had been ignoring her text message for three weeks. 

She has spoken in the past about their fractious relationship and revealed she is estranged from much of her family, she said: ‘I WhatsApped my dad three weeks ago and he sill hasn’t replied so I can’t really be bothered with him.’

When asked about their challenging relationship, she said: ‘I speak to my mum’s side and my sister and their kids but I WhatsApped my dad three weeks ago and he sill hasn’t replied so I can’t really be bothered with him…

‘He unfollowed me on social media. I don’t understand their problems. It’s been like this for years. The more effort I make the more I feel like I’m being set up to fail…’
