Prince Charles and Prince Harry haven’t forgiven each other yet following the explosive interview the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle had with TV host Oprah Winfrey.

In the two-hour interview, Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, opened up on their time at the heart of the Royal family – with Meghan saying she had suicidal thoughts and claiming there were discussions over the colour of Archie’s skin.

Prince Harry explained how he felt “trapped” in the monarchy and added “my father and my brother, they are trapped, they don’t get to leave”. He also said Prince Charles stopped taking his calls while Harry and Meghan were in Canada.

Since then, the Duke of Sussex returned to the UK for his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral. He, Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly had a chat together, but the Prince of Wales and Harry did not have a one-to-one conversation.

It was reported that Charles and William wanted to meet with Harry together so that they could speak their minds and nothing was misconstrued.

A source told Us Weekly: “Unfortunately, Harry and Charles didn’t resolve their differences when Harry returned to the UK. They barely communicated. There definitely continues to be a huge wedge between the two.

“Charles is still fuming about Harry throwing shade at him and the royal family in the big interview and won’t let it drop. But to be honest, Harry didn’t go running back to Charles begging for forgiveness either.

“He still hasn’t forgiven his father for his lack of effort and support after he and Meghan decided to move. The reason Harry went back to the UK was to see the Queen and to pay his respects to Prince Philip. That’s about as far as it goes.”

Prince Harry is hoping to be back in the UK in July. He is said to want to attend Kensington Palace on what would have been his mother Princess Diana’s 60th birthday.

The ceremony, on July 1, will also be attended by his brother Prince William and the pair are set to unveil a statue of Diana.
