Prince Harry frozen out by Royal Family and is a startled rabbit caught in the headlights – Cornwall Live

Prince Harry is feeling ‘frozen out’ from the Royal Family following his recent visit to the UK, it has been claimed.

The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK to attend the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip on April 17.

It marked his first visit to the country since the controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside his wife Meghan.

Due to the explosive allegations made in the interview with the TV star, Harry is said to have had a frosty reception from other senior Royals, The Mirror reports.

During the interview, Harry and Meghan accused the family of racism because concerns were allegedly made about the colour of Archie’s skin.

The couple also accused the royal family of being insensitive to mental health issues as the Duchess of Sussex claimed she had suicidal thoughts while pregnant with Archie, now one, but failed to get any help.

Following a tense reunion with the royals at Prince Philip’s funeral, royal watchers say the event reminded Harry of his old life as he adjusts to living in the US with his wife Meghan and son Archie.

Charlie Rae, a former royal editor at The Sun, told talkRADIO, said: “Out in the US, Harry looks like a startled rabbit caught in the headlights.”

TalkRADIO host Kevin O’Sullivan said: “We read that Harry was shocked by the frosty reception he got from some members of the Royal Family.

“Some literally turned their back on him. He was stunned by this – I’m not sure why that was a surprise to him.

“It must be occurring to him how frozen out he is, how he has turned his back on his former life.

“There is suggestion that when he came back a few weeks ago, he was reminded of his old life.”

He added: “He felt rather nostalgic about it and he isn’t so thrilled about his new circumstances as he wants you to believe.”

Mr Rae added he doesn’t believe Charles and William “will be extending their open arms again to Harry”.

But Megan told the US chat star that it was actually the Duchess of Cambridge who “left her in tears” ahead of her nuptials to Prince Harry in May 2018.

Meghan, who is due a baby girl in the next month, didn’t return to the UK for the funeral on medical grounds.

According to some reports, Harry organised a “summit” with Prince Charles, William and Kate at his UK residence Frogmore Cottage, after the funeral for Prince Philip.

But others claim the “clear-air-talks” didn’t actually happen as Harry only stayed for a few days, while the family wanted to focus on supporting the Queen at such a hard time.
