Mr Mapelli Mozzi, who married Princess Beatrice in July, adds: “In my fridge you’ll always find a bottle of tequila (Casamigos Reposado) and smoked salmon.
“Why the tequila? Well, that’s obvious, but I always have salmon from Secret Smokehouse because it’s easy when you’ve been working all day and you just want to grab something healthy.”
Jack Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie’s husband, is the European brand manager for Casamigos Reposado, which was founded by the actor George Clooney and costs around £65 a bottle.
“I only buy a few things and I invest in authenticity and quality,” Mr Mapelli Mozzi states, with some understatement, before going on to reveal that his most recent favoured purchase was a 1958 two-seat bench with matching chairs by Brazilian designer Joaquim Tenreiro, costing in the region of £40,000.
Mr Mapelli Mozzi also describes his “love affair with wine” which began with four cases he was given as a christening present, revealing that he now trades it and has a “very interesting collection” of Bordeaux, although he prefers to drink Burgundy.
As well as £300 trainers and £190 shirts, the newest member of the Royal Family reveals that his favoured design is his company’s own Moto fireplace, called Kwanza, which is “carved from Rosso Levanto marble”.
“Marble has been around for millions of years and this is an object for life,” he adds.
Mr Mapelli Mozzi says he has set his sights on a set of water glasses spotted on a recent visit to Venice, costing £70 each, and raves about the mussel soup at Ristorante Da Adolfo at Laurito Beach on the Amalfi coast.
In a nod to normality, he reveals that the family has a “small vegetable garden” and that his favourite room in the house is the kitchen, where the family, including his young son Wolfie, get together for every meal.
To de-stress, he runs in the park or jumps on the Peloton, although his “only wellbeing guru” is his chiropractor.
