The Scots comedian said opening the door to the parent of one of the world’s most successful singers was “2020 as f**k”.
Lewis’ dad runs KP’s Seafood Specialist in Bearsden, near Glasgow.
Last week we reported how the megastar had been urging fans to sample their products.
He even suggested a piece of sea bass or halibut would be the perfect Christmas gift this year, as he came up with the unofficial slogan of “fish that isnae pish”.
He said: “If people my age are thinking I don’t know what to get my grandmother for Chirtsmas.
“Get them a big f*** off sea bass. Get her a sea bass from my dad’s shop and say there you go gran. Stick this sea bass right in your neck.
“Be sure to think of me when you’ve got a mouthful of clams.”
The plea was obviously heard by comic Kevin, who took delivery today of a bounty of fresh seafood.
Sharing a snap on Twitter, he said: “Lewis Capaldi’s Da at the door there with a box of fish. 2020 as f**k. What a man. Some da on ye @LewisCapaldi #fish #da.”
Last week Lewis revealed he wasn’t being paid for the online push to get fans buying from his dad’s shop.
He added: “I know what you’re thinking. Is Lewis’ father using his son to further his own business?
“The answer is yes and if you’re thinking that’s disgusting, I agree! But the fish is delicious. It’s delicious fish.”
